Barre and Pilates
Barre Align kicks up the intensity with its cardio series, and focus on alignment. Join us at the barre to combine small, precise muscle movements and isometric holds to sculpt, strengthen, and stretch the muscles with to increase endurance, stamina and balance.
Uses a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training. Sometimes enhanced with weights, balls, resistance bands combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements.
The Pilates Method is the art of controlled movements, and can be done by a wide range of people. In a mat Pilates class you will be guided through the exercises in an attentive and caring environment. One can expect to see improved core strength and flexibility, posture and balance, endurance in the entire body, prevention and treatment of back pain, and of exercise induced injury, and an overall feeling of wellbeing.
